FUL Honours Beanard Ajewole with Distinguished Alumnus Award

The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has honoured Mr. Beanard Oluwashina Ajewole, a renowned event and operations strategist, with the “Distinguished Alumnus Award” for his remarkable contributions to the university and society.

The award was presented by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, during the university’s 9th Convocation Ceremony at the Felele Campus, Lokoja.

Prof. Akinwumi said the recognition celebrates Ajewole’s pivotal role in the establishment of the Student Union Government (SUG) and his promotion of campus unity and engagement during his time as a student.

Ajewole, who holds both BSc and MSc degrees in Political Science from FUL, was instrumental in initiating FUL Got Talent, which later evolved into the university’s Student Union Social Week, a platform that promoted student creativity and social life.

A certified Project Management Professional and alumnus of the MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation, Arusha, Tanzania, Ajewole is currently the Acting Executive Director of VOWE Foundation, an NGO focused on women and youth empowerment.

He is also the Director of Logistics at Apitainment, where he has coordinated major entertainment events including the Davido Timeless Tour (2023), Rema Live Abuja (2024), and Chike Live in Concert.

As Co-founder of Romies Block, Ajewole has also helped shape Abuja’s vibrant entertainment landscape. Known for his leadership and creativity, he continues to champion youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and social change through his platforms.
