The 2027 presidential campaign of Oyo State Governor and Allied Peoples Movement candidate, Seyi Makinde, has moved to strengthen its public communication machinery with the appointment of veteran journalist Amos Dunia as Special Adviser on Public Affairs.
Dunia, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT Council, is expected to join the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation as it intensifies its media engagement ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
    His appointment takes immediate effect.
The move brings an experienced media practitioner with backgrounds in both broadcast and print journalism into the campaign’s communication structure.
Dunia has worked with the Nigerian Television Authority, New Nigerian Newspapers, The Sun and Blueprint Newspapers. He is also a co-founder of Forefront Magazine and its online platform.
Beyond his newsroom experience, he served as a national consultant to the NUJ on politics and union matters.
The campaign organisation said Dunia would work with other communication professionals to project its “Reset Nigeria” message and engage Nigerians ahead of the election.
The appointment comes as the Makinde/Daura campaign seeks to expand its public affairs and communication operations ahead of the 2027 contest.
