The Board of Trustees of Participation Initiative for Behavioural Change in Development (PIBCID), a Kogi State based Non-Governmental Organisation, has appointed Mrs Rachael Remilekun Akande as acting Executive Director of the organisation.

The Board, in a statement signed by its chairman, Dr Mohammed Usman and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Lokoja said the appointment takes immediate effect.

The statement further said that Mrs Akande took over from Mrs Halima Oiza Sadiq who abruptly resigned her appointment and left the organisation.

“We humbly request our partners, government agencies. Non governmental agencies, Various communities that we have direct linkage should take note and extend cooperation to the new leadership”, the statement added.

Mrs Akande, according to the statement, until her new appointment, was a Senior Finance Officer with the organisation and holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting (B.Sc Accounting) as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

It will be recalled that PIBCID was ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) Local Rights Partners in Kogi State until recently when the international Non-Governmental Organisation’s programmes ended in the state.
