Former National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Peter Ojonugwa Ameh, has paid glowing tribute to former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday, describing him as a rare model of integrity, accountable leadership and hope for millions of Nigerians.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, Ameh said Obi’s unwavering commitment to transparency, fiscal discipline and ethical leadership has distinguished him as one of the country’s most respected political figures.

He noted that at a time when Nigerians are demanding greater accountability from public office holders, Obi has continued to inspire confidence through a leadership style rooted in honesty, prudence and service.

According to Ameh, the former Anambra governor’s consistent advocacy for responsible management of public resources and his opposition to wasteful governance have strengthened public belief that Nigeria can achieve sustainable development through visionary and accountable leadership.

He said Obi’s political journey has demonstrated that competence, character and integrity remain essential ingredients for nation-building.

“As you mark this significant milestone, we draw renewed hope from the values you represent. You have shown that character still matters, that competence and integrity can transform society, and that the commitment of one individual can inspire the aspirations of an entire generation,” Ameh stated.

He prayed for God’s continued protection, wisdom and good health for Obi, expressing confidence that the former presidential candidate would continue to make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development and national progress.

Ameh also joined Obi’s family, political associates, friends and supporters in celebrating his 65th birthday, describing him as “not merely a political leader, but a symbol of hope whose ideals continue to resonate with millions of Nigerians.”

Peter Obi, who turned 65 on Sunday, has received a flood of congratulatory messages from political leaders, associates and supporters across the country, many of whom have praised his advocacy for good governance, transparency and investment in education and healthcare.
