The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige has thrown in the towel in the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari after May 29th, 2023

Ngige said in a statement on Friday that his decision to withdraw from the presidential race was taken after consultations with his family members, supporters and well wishers.

He said that he has already communicated his decision to withdraw from the Presidential race to the President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

He recalled that he declared interest in the presidential race on April 19, due to pressure from his supporters who believe that he has the requisite qualities to occupy the number one position in the land.
