The Gbagada Jasmine Lions Club has reached out to 200 underprivileged families with food and other palliative measures to alleviate hunger.
The programme, “Lion Club feed the hungry” was held last Saturday at Ilaje community in Bariga, Lagos in partnership with Honeywell PLC
The president, Lion Ada Okorie who spoke to our correspondent shortly after the programme said that the project was in line with Lions Club International 5 Global Causes .
“Moreso, the project is aimed at actualising my promise at the commencement of the Lion year last July” and during my installation as the 8th President of Gbagada Jasmine Lions Club, Lion Ada Okorie added.
“I promised to reach out to 100 families of underprivileged to feed the hungry, today that dream is being actualised and increased to 200 families”.
She said that various items of food were packed to relief hunger in Gbagada down to Ilaje community where there are more needy people.
Lion Okorie expressed profound gratitude to God and Honeywell Plc for their partnership in making the dream a reality.
