The family of Nigerian music icon, Innocent “Tuface” Idibia, has declared him missing and formally petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) to launch an urgent investigation into his disappearance.

According to a petition dated February 7, 2025, filed by their legal representatives, Anuge, Anuge & Co, Tuface was last seen on February 10, 2025, when he left his residence for a routine morning walk. He has since been unreachable, sparking growing fears about his safety.
Tuface’s sudden disappearance has raised alarm, particularly because he left unaccompanied by security personnel or staff—a rare occurrence for the internationally acclaimed artist. Efforts by family, friends, and his record label to locate him have been unsuccessful.
The situation has taken a more troubling turn as suspicious messages allegedly sent from his social media accounts have surfaced, soliciting financial assistance.
Given Tuface’s financial stability, his family suspects potential identity theft, coercion, or foul play.
The family’s petition emphasizes growing concerns that Tuface may have been abducted, with unknown individuals attempting to exploit his identity for financial gain.
They describe the situation as deeply distressing, not only for his wife, children, and loved ones but also for his global fan base and business ventures, which have been thrown into uncertainty.
With no leads on his whereabouts, the family is urging the DSS to intervene immediately to ensure his safe return. They stress that, as a Nigerian music legend, Tuface’s sudden silence is completely out of character, making a swift and thorough investigation critical.

As concerns mount, fans and well-wishers continue to hope for his safe return, while authorities have yet to make an official statement on the matter.
