Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has reinstated his Special Adviser on Salary and Pension, Alhaji Bashir Ado Kazaure, after a suspension due to a miscommunication regarding the proposed minimum wage.

A statement issued by Malam Bala Ibrahim, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and conveyed by the SSG’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ismaila Ibrahim, confirmed the reinstatement. The statement read:

“Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, has lifted the suspension of his Special Adviser on Salary and Pension, Bashir Ado Kazaure, with immediate effect.”

The reinstatement follows a thorough investigation by a committee led by Barrister Bello Abdulkadir Fanini, the State Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice. The committee examined the circumstances surrounding Kazaure’s suspension, which stemmed from a premature announcement of a proposed N70,000 minimum wage.

According to the SSG, the decision to lift the suspension underscores Governor Namadi’s commitment to fairness and due process in resolving administrative matters.
