In a bid to deepen patriotism and national consciousness, the Unveiling and Rebranding Nigeria Initiative (URNI) has initiated a strategic partnership with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to reshape narratives about Nigeria and inspire active citizenship, particularly among the youth.

Leading the URNI delegation to NOA headquarters in Abuja, Mrs. Obiageri Ndulue, the organization’s Lead Strategist, emphasized the urgent need for initiatives that strengthen national identity.
She outlined URNI’s upcoming projects, to include,
“Nigeria Through My Lens” – a campaign spotlighting positive stories about the nation

URNI Symposium – a forum for intellectual discourse on national development

URNI Novelty Match – using sports as a tool for unity and engagement

Faces of Patriotism – a book initiative aimed at instilling national values in schools

Unveiling and Rebranding Nigeria Initiative, Emegha Joshua in a statement said, quoted Ndulue to have stressed that these initiatives would help redefine Nigeria’s image through impactful storytelling, civic engagement, and grassroots advocacy.

Responding to the initiative, NOA Director-General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, lauded URNI’s vision, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to programs that promote national consciousness. He highlighted NOA’s own efforts, including the National Values Charter, Nigeria Promise, and Citizen Codes, which define the attributes of responsible Nigerian citizens.

Issa-Onilu emphasized that changing national narratives and instilling patriotism among young people requires collaboration between government agencies, private sector players, and civil society organizations like URNI.

Both parties expressed optimism about their future collaboration, agreeing to work together to reshape public perception and encourage active participation in nation-building.

This partnership positions URNI as a driving force in Nigeria’s national rebranding efforts, working alongside key stakeholders to inspire a generation committed to positive change and patriotism.
