    100 Less-Privileged Residents to Receive Free Surgical Care in Rano LGA

    The Chairman of Rano Local Government Council, Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya’u Rano, has flagged off a life-changing free medical outreach aimed at providing surgical care to 100 underprivileged residents of the area.

    The initiative, launched in collaboration with the ANNUR Medical and Surgical Team, will offer free surgeries for patients suffering from Hernia, Appendicitis, Goiter, Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF), and Nodules.
    The outreach is scheduled to run for five (5) consecutive days and will serve residents of Rano and surrounding communities.

    Speaking at the official flag-off ceremony held at the council headquarters, Hon. Ya’u emphasized that the program reflects his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare access for the most vulnerable.

    Rabiu Khalil Kura in a statement quoted him to have indicated that,

    “This initiative is part of our continuous effort to ease the burden of surgical illnesses on our people, especially those who cannot afford treatment. We are grateful to ANNUR Medical and Surgical Team for this partnership and to the Kano State Government under His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for supporting healthcare interventions in Rano and beyond,” he stated.

    The Chairman called on residents to take full advantage of the opportunity and assured them of the council’s determination to expand access to healthcare services.

    In his remarks, Ibrahim S. Ibrahim, the Primary Healthcare Coordinator for Rano LGA, commended the Council Chairman and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for their visionary approach to public health. He disclosed that plans are already underway to provide free medicines to all health facilities in the local government.

    Also speaking, Dr. Ayuba Bashir, Head of the ANNUR Medical and Surgical Team, urged patients to strictly adhere to doctors’ instructions and post-operative care guidelines to ensure full recovery.

    Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malamisa Idris expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Rano Local Government Council and the Kano State Government for their continued efforts to uplift the health and well-being of the people.
