As Nigeria marks the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has applauded the President’s bold reforms and unwavering commitment to national renewal, calling them the catalyst for Nigeria’s emerging economic stability and investor confidence.
In a statement commemorating the milestone, Governor Ododo praised Tinubu’s “courage to act when it mattered most,” pointing to landmark reforms such as the fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange unification, and sweeping fiscal adjustments as tough but necessary decisions that have begun to yield measurable results.
“These last two years have tested our nation’s resolve,” Ododo said. “But under President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigerians are beginning to see the fruits of sacrifice — macroeconomic stability, rising non-oil revenues, and a reawakened private sector.”

Ododo emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda is translating into real opportunities for states like Kogi, where strategic alignment with federal initiatives is driving grassroots development, especially in infrastructure, clean energy, education, and job creation.
Highlighting Kogi’s active role in the clean energy transition, the Governor announced ongoing youth training programs in compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion technology and the imminent launch of intra-city bus services in Lokoja to boost urban mobility and sustainability.
“The Renewed Hope spirit is alive in our communities,” he said. “We are investing in people, building resilient systems, and empowering the next generation through practical policies.”
The Governor also praised initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund as pillars of a long-term strategy to transform critical sectors and close inequality gaps.
“What we are witnessing today is not just reform — it’s recalibration,” Ododo noted. “President Tinubu’s government is laying the groundwork for a future built on productivity, innovation, and inclusive growth.”
Reaffirming Kogi’s support for the national vision, Ododo pledged to continue tailoring state-level policies that mirror the administration’s objectives — creating enabling environments for investment, expanding healthcare and education access, and extending the benefits of reform directly to citizens.
“Mr. President, your tenacity continues to inspire a nation. On behalf of the people of Kogi State, I congratulate you. We stand with you as partners in progress,” he concluded.
