Cleric calls for change of negative thoughts, confessions about Nigerians
By Friday Idachaba, Lokoja.
A Cleric, Pastor Foluke Oluwalade of Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Region 24, Lokoja, has called on Nigerians to change their negative thoughts and confessions if the country must attain victory in its political, economic and social spheres.
The pastor made the call in her sermon titled, “I am Victorious” at the March, 2023 Breakthrough Service of Christ Chapel Mega Zone, Ganaja, on Sunday in Lokoja.
She said that the desire of Nigerians for positive change and a better country with every facet of the national economy working, could only come through hard work, change of confession and attitude.
Quoting from Proverbs 23:7, she noted that levels in life were determined by combination of thoughts and confessions saying, “What you are now and what you are going to be are products of your thinking and confession.
“Where Nigeria is today is a function of what we say and think about Nigeria. If only we can change our negative thoughts and confessions about this country, Nigeria will attain greater heights and we will be victorious.
“Victory is our heritage in God, Nigeria and Nigerians will be victorious but we will have to change our confessions. We are stronger than our enemies, no matter their number”, she said.
Citing Mark 11:23, the pastor who is also wife of the Pastor in charge of Region 24, Pastor Francis Oluwalade, urged Christians and all Nigerians to revive their “Can do” spirit and rekindle their believe in the country as one created by God to excel.
She admonished Christians to imbibe same spirit in their personal lives to change their thinking and confessions and be victorious over issues of life.
