2023: Hope rises for PWDs as Jigawa PDP governorship candidate plans big for them if elected
Hope for better life rises for Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs), as the Jigawa State Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the 2023 election, Mustapha Sule Lamido has promised to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well their being if given the mandate.
Lamido(jnr) gave the indication at the commemoration of the International day of persons with disabilities on 3rd December of every year.
The Deputy Director media and publicity campaign Directorate, Malam Umar Kyari Jitau in a statement quoted The PDP candidate to have expressed his commitment to the safety and development of people living with disabilities.
According to him, access to education, health care services, skills based learning facilities and economic empowerment are keys to safeguarding people living with disabilities.
The PDP Governorship candidate had earlier stated in his Vision for Jigawa State which is already in the public domain that if elected, people living with disabilities and their children will also be considered for free or subsidized education.
“In addition, I will also provide subsidized health care services. Lamido JNR said safety and development of people living with disabilities is our collective responsibility towards mankind and a better future.”
