The Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar, on Tuesday declined to comment on the presidential ambition of the minister Transport, Chief Rotimi Amaechi’s when he paid him a courtesy visit on the Governor in Dutse.

The governor however commended Ameachi on the railway projects connecting some major towns in Jigawa, describing them as gigantic, adding that they will continue to impact on the lives of the residents.

However, Abubakar indicated that he cannot preempt the decision of the APC Governor’s Forum to speak on the presidential ambition of Ameachi.

“When we meet at the forum one can speak on such issues, but for now I cannot say anything with regards to that.

Speaking earlier the minister of transport Chief Rotimi Amiechi said he was in Dutse on consultation over his presidential ambition

The minister added that “I was at the Dutse emir’s palace on the same issue. The governor is a brother and colleague I visited him, but I will come back on the matter”.
“When I come back we will discuss and meet party members and all stakeholders”.
