Rotary Club Honours Kogi Indigene

THE Rotary Club Abuja Asokoro Diamond has honoured a Kogi indigene, Alhaji Momoh Hamid Akata of the University of America, Abuja Learning Centre, PSIN, Kubwa.

Akata was honoured in recognition of his commitment to the upliftment of humanity through his invaluable contributions to community development.

The award tagged: ‘Peace Builder Award’ was bestowed on the Kogi-born in appreciation of his “passion towards peace building” in his area of service and Nigeria as a whole.

Rotary Club with head- quarters in Illinois Evanston, USA and over 360 clubs alongside a membership of over 1.3 million all over the world, often recognize individuals that have impacted on the society.

The event which held at Kapital Klub and Apartments, was chaired by a retired bureaucrat and elder statesman,
Alhaji Ozi Salami.

The event which was tagged “The Heart of Peace Concert” was anchored to mark the 6th anniversary of Rotary Club of Abuja Asokoro Diamond.
