The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, FCT Council, has disclaimed the ownership of a vehicle with registration number NLC 13 FCT which was arrested in Kano.

A disclaimer issued on Saturday by the Chairperson of NLC FCT Council, Abubakar Alhassan Yakub, advised authorities in Kano to investigate and deal decisively with the culprits.

The congress noted that it alerted security agencies in 2013 about the indiscriminate use of its identity, stating that anybody caught should face the full weight of the law.

It further called on relevant agencies to arrest anyone who uses the NLC FCT Council name henceforth.

“The NLC FCT Council wishes to state categorically clear that it is not in any way associated with the vehicle with registration Number NLC13FCT

“The FCT Council has informed all security agencies since 2013 on the indiscriminate use of its identity. Therefore anybody caught should face the full right of the law.

Consequently, the vehicle arrested in Kano is not known to FCT Council. We advise the authorities in Kano to investigate and deal decisively with the culprits.

“Therefore, we call on the relevant agencies to arrest anyone who uses the LC FCT name henceforth,” the disclaimer read.
