Nigeria has taken another bold step toward inclusive growth as the Federal Government and the King Salman Foundation agreed to collaborate on projects that will transform lives and strengthen key sectors of the economy.
The partnership was formalized on Tuesday during a high-level meeting between the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, and representatives of the Foundation at her office in Abuja.
The talks explored wide-ranging areas of cooperation — including education, healthcare, agriculture, food security, poverty reduction, and human development — aimed at delivering tangible socio-economic benefits to Nigerians.
Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga in a statement quoted Dr. Uzoka-Anite to have indicated that the collaboration is in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, adding that partnerships like this reflect government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for citizens.
“This partnership demonstrates the power of shared purpose,” she said. “By joining hands with the King Salman Foundation, we are taking practical steps to tackle health challenges, fight malnutrition, promote agricultural resilience, and build stronger, more inclusive communities.”
She lauded the Foundation’s interest in addressing critical issues such as malaria eradication, farmer-herder conflict resolution, and sanitation in border communities.
In his remarks, the head of the delegation, Dr. Ali Alghamdi, reaffirmed the Foundation’s readiness to work closely with the Ministry to achieve the objectives of the Tinubu administration.
Operating in over 100 countries, the King Salman Foundation is a key donor to the Lives and Livelihood Fund (LLF) under the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), which supports member countries in implementing projects with strong humanitarian impact.
This collaboration marks a new phase in Nigeria’s development drive, designed to translate global goodwill into measurable improvements in the lives of millions of Nigerians.
