The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), chaired by Accountant General of the Federation Shamsudeen B. Ogunjimi, has distributed a total of N2.094 trillion to the three tiers of government for October 2025 from a gross revenue of N2.934 trillion.
Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga in a statement indicated that under the allocation, the Federal Government received N758.405 billion, States N689.120 billion, and Local Government Councils N505.803 billion. The Oil Producing States received N141.395 billion as derivation (13% of mineral revenue).
Explaining further the Statement indicated that
N115.278 billion went to cost of collection, while N724.603 billion was allocated for transfers, interventions, and refunds.
The statement quoted the committee to have reported that Value Added Tax (VAT) collections fell to N719.827 billion from N872.630 billion the previous month, with N670.303 billion distributed to governments after deductions for collection costs and transfers.
It also indicated thatvthe gross statutory revenue rose slightly to N2.164 trillion, from N2.128 trillion in September.
After deductions, N1.376 trillion was shared: Federal Government N650.680 billion, States N330.033 billion, Local Governments N254.442 billion, and N141.395 billion to derivation revenue.
Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) contributed N49.865 billion: Federal Government N7.180 billion, States N23.935 billion, Local Governments N16.755 billion, with N1.995 billion for collection costs.
While Petroleum Profit Tax, Company Income Tax, Oil & Gas royalties, import and excise duties increased, VAT and EMTL saw slight decreases.
The total distributable revenue for October 2025 combined statutory revenue, VAT, and EMTL to reach N2.094 trillion.
