Kogi Orders Manhunt for Killers of Durowaye Folusho

The Kogi State Government has ordered security agencies to track down and apprehend those responsible for the killing of Mr. Durowaye Folusho, describing the act as “senseless” and “heinous.”
In a statement issued on Friday, Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, said Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo had directed an immediate, full-scale manhunt for the perpetrators, alongside a thorough and expedited investigation to ensure justice.
“The loss of a valued member of the community under such violent circumstances is distressing,” Fanwo said, extending condolences to Folusho’s family, the people of Ayetoro Kiri, and the entire Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
The governor also ordered the State Security Adviser to reinforce security in Ayetoro Kiri and neighbouring communities to safeguard residents and prevent a recurrence.
Condemning the killing “in the strongest terms,” the government urged citizens to remain calm and provide credible intelligence to aid the investigation.
“The safety and security of all citizens remain paramount,” the statement read. “We will not relent in our commitment to maintaining peace, security, and the rule of law across Kogi State.”
