Lafia was buzzing with excitement on Wednesday as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu landed at the Usman Dan Fodio Airport for a major visit to Nasarawa State—drawing a crowd of governors, top political figures, and party faithful.
Touching down at exactly 1:58 p.m., President Tinubu’s arrival marked the climax of a day packed with anticipation and heavy traffic of political dignitaries flying into the state ahead of him.

Before his arrival, six APC governors had already touched down in Lafia on separate flights. On ground to welcome the President were Governors AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Umaru Bago of Niger, and the Deputy Governor of Gombe State.

Joining them were political heavyweights including Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia; APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje; former Communications Minister, Prof. Isa Pantami; Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim; and even former INEC boss, Prof. Attahiru Jega.
Leading the warm reception for the President was Nasarawa’s own Governor Abdullahi Sule, flanked by party stalwarts such as Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, former Information Minister Labaran Maku, and all APC lawmakers representing the state at the National Assembly.
The visit comes as part of President Tinubu’s ongoing tour to connect with the grassroots and assess progress under his Renewed Hope Agenda. From the energy in Lafia, it’s clear the people of Nasarawa were ready to show the President their full support—and celebrate the strides made so far.
