THE Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment in synergy with other sister security agencies towards ensuring the safety of lives and property of all before, during and after the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

In a statement made available to newsmen by SP William Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) on Sunday in Lokoja, CP Dantawaye heartily felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of 2025 Ed-El-Ftr celebrations.

While reiterating the Command’s unwavering commitment to security of lives and property of all in the state, the CP said strategies had been put in place to deny hoodlums any space to cause security breach in the State.

“The CP has ordered a watertight security across the State including deploying personnel and resources to black spots and other vulnerable spots for proactive crime prevention and detection and to deter criminals.

“The security measures aim to address crime and criminality across the State. The CP also tasked all the DPOs and their supervisory Area Commanders as well as tactical Commanders to deploy adequate security assets ahead of the celebration.

This, according to him, is to deny hoodlums space to cause security breach and also to ensure a peaceful celebration. “They are expected to conduct undercover operations in these areas to prevent and detect crime promptly.

“DPOs were equally directed to carry out intensive crime prevention/confidence building patrols along the major highways, places of worship, Residential and vulnerable points, and other places of interest”, he said.
