Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has commenced the distribution of over 20 trucks of fertilizer to farmers across the 21 local government areas of the State
During the ceremony in Lokoja, the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to developing the state’s agricultural sector, describing the occasion as a fulfilling moment in his leadership.
He warned against divertion, lack of equity or exclution of genuine farmers from the program as he promised to take decisive against anyone involved in sabotaging the distribution process.
He warned against politicising the initiative adding that it is solely for the benefit of genuine farmers
He promisef to closely monitor the distribution to ensure the fertilizer reaches its intended recipients.
“Let me warn everyone here today that this must not be politicized.
It must go to the real farmers only.
“I will be intentional in tracking these bags of fertilizer to ensure they are in the right places. The effort is to support farmers and boost agricultural productivity in Kogi State.”
