***Insists, Kogi Governor did not whisk Yahaya Bello away from his Abuja home

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, has called out the EFCC for alleging that former Governor Yahaya Bello was spirited out of his Abuja home by his predecessor Governor Usman Ododo.
Fanwo coubtered the EFCC’s claims which he described as baseless adding that their claims are the product of an organized disinformation campaign.
According him, far be it for the former governor to be referred to as someone attempting to avoid arrest even as he cited a state high court injunction that shields Bello from harassment by the anti-graft agency.
Fanwo faulted the EFCC’s allegations, describing them as laughable as he questioned the agency’s certainty about Bello’s whereabouts.

He defended his principal, Governor Ododo as a law-abiding leader who respects the rule of law and the Constitution.
Fanwo also countered the allegation that Governor Ododo assisted Bello’s departure from his residence, emphasizing that the EFCC’s claims are misinformation aimed at furthering their objectives.
He reiterated that Bello was not evading anyone and emphasized the existing court injunction protecting his fundamental rights.
In an interview with Channels TV, Fanwo expressed disappointment with the EFCC’s actions and emphasized Governor Ododo’s commitment to upholding the law and respecting legal processes. He called the EFCC’s allegations frivolous and reiterated the protective measures in place for the former governor based on a court’s jurisdiction
