    2023: CNN vows to produce a credible coalition candidate that will build a better Nigeria

    As the 2023 general election draws closer a group under the aegis of Coalition for New Nigeria (CNN) has vowed to build a better Nigeria by producing a credible coalition candidate that would be acceptable to Nigerians.

    The coalition is made up of chairmen of Political Parties who have been meeting since 2016 searching for a better Nigeria for all.

    The National acting Chairman of the group High Chief Petter Ameh made the disclosure over the weekend said their first main objective is the quest to have a Nigeria where everybody’s life is protected both the poor, the rich, the child of the man born in Nyanya, Masaka, Ikeja, in Magodo, in Apapa and even in Up Iweaka.

    “So we can continue to have discuss as a coalition to seek a way forward to ensure Nigeria does not go down the drain

    “Nigeria project is one that we will never give up on, as we will continue to fight until a better Nigeria is birthed and that has been our objective from the day we formed the Coalition for New Nigeria.

    “Our members are committed to a progressive and indivisible Nigeria where fairness, justice and equity is the watch word of our unity and the watchword of our founding fathers.

    “It is on this premise we started this discussion to continue to work out the modalities to which we will birth for Nigeria a new and progressive nation that we will be able to come up with candidate that will represent the true wishes and aspiration of our people. 

    “A candidate that will emanate from a free and fair primaries conducted within the party. 

    “As our members have deliberated they have agreed that there would be a major retreat which will come up fromFriday 11th of February to Sunday the 13th of February 2022

    Where we will announce to the public our final decision

    His said that quest is the reason the association of different political parties came together at a time and agree to have a platform where the objectives for a progressive and a successful Nigerian dream can be Achieved.

    He said the chairman of the coalition until his death had been the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam while the secretary remains Barrister Augustine Okoye.

    He applauded the National chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC) Party Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu for the way and manner he has been piloting the affairs of the party

    “We have our challenges but we must not allow these challenges to blur our vision for the country.

    “We form the first major coalition of political parties so that we can find a way to move our country and our collective desire for the country to come alive.”

    “We will continue to meet just to achieve the new Nigeria. The new Nigeria is not about one individual taking over in the presidency tomorrow it is about changing the system. 

    “The system has to be changed democratically. And all of these eminent party men and women are meeting to continue to create that compass to continue till 2023. They are committed. 

    He said they will hold a retreat at the weekend from where Nigerians will start to see positive changes.
