    Tragedy as three children of same parents Drown in Jigawa

    Three children of same parents have drowned in a river at Gaduwa Kazamaki Fulani Settlement of Guri local government of Jigawa state.

    The children were reported missing after they went out with their family’s camels for grazing.

    The children it was gathered went to a river located at Kazamaki Village where they were drowned while attempting to swim.

    Confirming the incident the Jigawa state commissioner of police CP Aliyu Sale Tafida said, the command through its police Division in Guri local government received a report of the missing children on 20/10.2022.

    The commissioner who spoke through the spokesperson of the command ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam said, after receiving the report a police team was mobilised in collaboration with some good Samaritans in the community who eventually succeeded in recovering of their bodies in the stream.

    He explained that, their corpses were removed from the river and taken to Hadejia General hospital where they were confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

    ASP Shisu named the deceased to include Musa Ahmad ‘m’ age 12yrs, Yusuf Ahmad ‘m’ age 11 yrs, and Alkasim Muhammad ‘m’ age 14yrs all of Kazamaki Fulani Settlement Guri LGA.

    “Preliminary investigation revealed that no foul play was Suspected in the incident, however the corpses were released to their relatives for burial according to Islamic rites” ASP stated

    In a similar tragic incident a three year old child named Aminu Bukar of Dolen Zugo Village of Guri local government was reported missing on 18/01/2022.

    The police spokesperson ASP Shisu stated that, upon receiving the
    report, a team of Policemen swung into action, who were able to find the body of Aminu at Tudun Mai Jambo Bush, about 1 km away from the town.
