South South Youth Coalition and Northern Youth Alliance for Positive Change have declared their support for the presidential ambition of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for 2023.
A statement by officials of the groups entitled “TRANSFORMATION AGENDA FOR NIGERIANS 2023” issued after an enlarged meeting held in Benin City said the former Governor of Abia State was a better aspirant as they urged Nigerians to support him.
According to the statement jointly signed by Comrade Solomon Okoduwa, Coordinator General South South Youth Coalition and Mr. Umar Yusuf, Coordinator General Northern Youth Coalition they agreed that it was time an Igbo man becomes the president of Nigeria adding that the opportunity should be given to an experienced man who can take the country to its promise-land.
“We strongly believe in the unity of this country, since democracy, in the eye of justice, no Igbo man has been president. We are strongly in support of Nigeria President of Igbo Extraction that will unify and restore hope and confidence in our country.
“With the creativity, capacity and experience of distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, he will change the economy of Nigeria to center of attraction and creative hub.”
The statement said, “Our movement is a voluntary one for the forth coming presidential election 2023 to rekindle a ray of hope for Nigerians who believe in the personality of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. A Man of integrity, capacity, a bridge builder and above all a down to earth leader. A man who has the capacity to unify our dear country and provide security.
They said “Our movement will use digital platform, PVC holder members to drive a robust political campaign to support the candidacy of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for the position of President come 2023.
“Transformation Agenda For Nigerians Movement will bring together every Nigerian irrespective of tribe and ethnicity for the realization of this noble goal.
“We will be in touch with volunteers from all walks of life for this assignment to usher His Excellency Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in 2023.”
