The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, has taken his 2027 mobilisation campaign to the digital space, calling Nigerians at home and abroad to a global town hall on vote protection.
The virtual meeting, scheduled for Sunday, October 4, will focus on how Nigerians can contribute ideas and strategies to the political movement ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Obi said the initiative was driven by two questions that had continued to surface among supporters — how the votes would be protected and how the movement would pursue its 2027 objective.

“These are fair questions, and you deserve direct answers,” Obi said.
But the former Anambra State governor said he would not use the platform simply to address supporters.
Instead, he said he wanted Nigerians to have a direct input into the movement’s next phase.
“I want to hear your concerns, your insights and your strategies,” he said.
Obi said the movement belonged to Nigerians, adding that their contributions would help shape its direction as preparations for the 2027 election intensify.
The digital town hall also provides a platform for Nigerians outside the country to participate in discussions around the election and the protection of votes.
The session is scheduled to begin at 7pm West Africa Time on Sunday, with participants required to register before joining.
Obi’s invitation ended with the movement’s slogan: “A New Nigeria is POSSIBLE.”
