The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike has claimed that two APC governors are plotting against him. He singled out Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq during a media chat in Port Harcourt.

Wike’s accusations come as political tensions rise ahead of the 2027 elections. He is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but openly supports President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Wike criticized AbdulRazaq for allegedly leading a smear campaign against him. “He has been the one championing this campaign against me everywhere,” Wike stated, referring to AbdulRazaq’s claims that Wike is backing politicians against his preferred candidates.

Despite the allegations, Wike emphasized his role in providing a political home for unhappy APC members who joined the PDP. He argued that these politicians chose to work within the PDP, showing his ability to accommodate different political interests.

The Kwara APC faces internal struggles, with competing factions vying for influence over the upcoming governorship election. AbdulRazaq’s leadership has been challenged by various party stakeholders.

Wike also called out Uzodinma, recalling moments when he supported the Imo governor. Their relationship has seen ups and downs, but Wike remains committed to backing Tinubu.

Wike insists that personal disputes will not change his goal of helping Tinubu win another term. He urged critics to recognize his open political intentions, stating, “I have never hidden my intention.”
