An aspirant for the Owerri Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Chijioke Onyeneke, has unveiled an ambitious development agenda centred on job creation, infrastructure renewal and youth empowerment ahead of the 2027 elections.
Onyeneke, popularly known by the campaign slogan “Ceejay Is Okay,” said his aspiration is rooted in the desire to restore effective representation, accountability and people-focused leadership to the constituency.
Speaking after obtaining his nomination form in Abuja, the aspirant pledged to pursue legislation and policies that would directly improve the lives of youths, women, traders, professionals and the elderly across the constituency.
He identified employment generation as a major priority, promising targeted support for small businesses, digital innovation, vocational training and strategic partnerships designed to empower young people economically.
The aspirant also vowed to attract federal projects aimed at addressing critical infrastructure gaps in the constituency, including road rehabilitation, improved electricity supply, healthcare delivery, educational advancement and the establishment of modern skills acquisition centres.
According to him, representation should go beyond political rhetoric and translate into practical governance that delivers visible and measurable benefits to ordinary people.
“As your representative, I will stand firmly for transparency, justice and the protection of the rights and interests of Ndi Owerri,” he stated.
Onyeneke further promised to introduce regular constituency engagement forums to ensure residents have a direct channel for expressing their concerns and aspirations at the National Assembly.
He added that scholarships, educational support programmes, empowerment grants and healthcare interventions for vulnerable citizens would form a central part of his legislative priorities.
Reaffirming his commitment to grassroots development, the aspirant said the “Ceejay Is Okay” slogan represents a vision anchored on purposeful leadership, inclusiveness and sustainable development for the people of Owerri Federal Constituency.
