Ododo Sets Agenda for 2026, Promises Inclusive Growth for Kogi

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has assured residents of renewed focus on shared prosperity, economic growth, and improved welfare in 2026.
In a New Year message delivered through his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo reflected on the achievements of 2025, highlighting steady progress in the state’s economy and the implementation of policies aimed at improving the standard of living for all Kogites.
Looking ahead, the governor said 2026 would be a landmark year under the recently passed “Budget of Shared Prosperity”, which prioritises agriculture, education, healthcare, security, and job creation as key drivers of development.
He pledged that his administration will continue to support local industries, empower youths, strengthen healthcare delivery, and upgrade infrastructure across the state, ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every community.
Governor Ododo emphasised the importance of fiscal responsibility and transparent governance, noting that prudent management of resources is essential for sustainable growth and equitable development.
“Together, we shall build a Kogi State where opportunities are accessible to all, prosperity is shared, and no one is left behind,” he said, calling on citizens to remain united, law-abiding, and resilient in building a brighter future.
He concluded by praying for peace, health, and success for all Kogites in the new year, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible results that positively transform lives.
