The Obidient Movement is coming back stronger as top political leaders gather in Abuja on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, for a major event titled “The Renaissance of the Obidient Movement.”

The event will feature Mr. Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate; Governor Alex Otti of Abia State; and Senator Nenadi Usman, the Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party.
They will be joined by other committed leaders and citizens who believe in promoting good governance and active citizenship.

According to a statement from the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), Mr. Obi will attend as Special Guest of Honour, with Governor Otti and other leaders of the movement also present.

A major part of the event will be a keynote speech by Professor Sam Amadi, a legal expert and public policy thinker. His topic, “The Inevitability of a New Nigeria,” will focus on the need for political change and national renewal.

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, will also speak, along with other grassroots leaders and civic voices who have continued to push for democratic progress.

A special feature of the day will be the launch of a new book titled Obi: The Political Change Agent. The book was written by experienced journalist Mr. Ike Abonyi, a former Group Political Editor at THISDAY and former Deputy Managing Director at New Telegraph.

The foreword of the book was written by human rights lawyer Mr. Dele Farotimi, while the review will be done by Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, a former diplomat and campaign manager for the Obi-Datti presidential team.

The event will take place at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, and is expected to attract a large number of supporters from all over the country.
