As Christians across Nigeria mark the 2025 Easter celebration, former Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area and current Chairman of the Ekiti State Multipurpose Credit Agency, Hon. Sola Olominu, has called for a peaceful, modest, and reflective observance of the season.
Speaking with journalists in Ikole on Good Friday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain congratulated Christians on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, urging residents—especially the youth—to avoid excesses that could lead to unrest or jeopardise their future.
“Easter is a time to reflect deeply on how to live a godly life,” Olominu said. “We must extend love to the less privileged, those in need of food, medical care, and shelter. It is not a time for recklessness.”
The grassroots politician, who has remained a vocal advocate for community development, also used the occasion to commend Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for the ongoing transformation across Ikole and other parts of the state through critical road infrastructure.
He singled out major road projects such as the Ikole–Ara–Isinbode Ekiti road and construction efforts in Isaba, Ikoyi, and Igbemo-Ekiti, describing them as “testaments to the governor’s commitment to grassroots development.”
“These projects are not just physical infrastructure; they are signs of real governance and visible progress,” Olominu stated. “They are beautiful to behold and life-changing for our people.”
He prayed for wisdom and strength for Governor Oyebanji as he steers the state through an era of transformation, urging residents to support the administration’s vision of a digital and economically thriving Ekiti.
“Governor Oyebanji means well for Ekiti. With collective support, he can take the state to greater heights,” he affirmed, pledging that the Multipurpose Credit Agency under his watch would continue to back the governor’s initiatives through 2030.
