As Christians across Nigeria celebrated Easter, Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District, concluded a week-long grassroots tour across all seven local government areas of the district, delivering a powerful message centered on unity, hope, and people-driven governance.
The town hall engagements, which spanned the week leading up to Easter, brought the Senator face-to-face with market women, artisans, youth groups, and traditional leaders. The meetings were widely praised by residents as one of the most engaging and impactful consultations in recent memory.
“This Easter is not just about resurrection — it’s a time for reconnection,” Senator Imasuen said during his Easter message. “Reconnection with our people, our values, and our duties as public servants.”
Reflecting on the tour, Imasuen said the feedback from constituents would directly shape his legislative agenda, stressing that representation without listening is meaningless.
“What I heard from the people will shape our priorities moving forward. Every bill, every motion, every vote I take must reflect the needs and voices of Edo South,” he affirmed.
Imasuen, who currently chairs the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges, reiterated his commitment to ethical leadership and inclusive governance. He thanked the people for their support and pledged to deepen the kind of engagement that builds trust and delivers results.
As the Easter celebration brought families together in joy and reflection, Senator Imasuen’s message served as both a spiritual reminder and a political pledge — that unity, development, and service remain at the heart of his mission in the Red Chamber.
