As Christians across the country mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called on Nigerians to embrace the deeper meaning of Easter—compassion, sacrifice, and unity—describing them as the building blocks of a peaceful and progressive society.
In a heartfelt message to the Christian faithful, particularly her Kogi Central constituents, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said Easter is not just a celebration, but a powerful reminder of love’s ability to heal, transform, and unify.
“Easter reminds us of the triumph of light over darkness and love over hate. In these trying times, we must draw strength from this message and recommit to values that uplift our communities—compassion, kindness, and unity,” the senator said, as quoted in a statement by her Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel, on Friday.
The senator expressed optimism that the sacred season would renew peace in every home and inspire a shared sense of purpose among citizens toward building a just and harmonious nation.
She concluded her message with warm wishes for a joyful Easter celebration, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family.
