    The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun has engaged with the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), led by its Executive Secretary, Dr. George Kelly.
    The move is aimed to accelerate border development and boost economic growth.
    Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga in a statement explained that the high-level meeting, held today at the Minister’s office in Abuja, focused on ongoing infrastructure projects, inter-agency collaboration, and sustainable funding strategies for border regions.

    Commending the BCDA’s efforts, the Minister emphasized the need for long-term financial planning to sustain development.
    He also underscored the immense economic potential of well-managed border areas, advocating for increased security and investment to unlock growth.

    Dr. George Kelly, in his remarks, reaffirmed the BCDA’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and security in border communities.
    He updated the minister on the agency’s ongoing initiatives and expressed readiness to strengthen inter-agency collaboration.

    The meeting marked a significant step in fostering synergy between the Ministry of Finance and the BCDA.
    Both entities pledged to work closely in implementing sustainable development strategies, ensuring prosperity and stability in Nigeria’s border regions.
