Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s one-year milestone in office has been hailed as groundbreaking, with developmental strides described as “unprecedented” by the Clerk of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ahmed Sule Chogudo.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Clerk for Administration and General Services to commemorate the anniversary on Sunday, Chogudo highlighted the governor’s impressive record, particularly in infrastructural development.

“Governor Ododo has turned Lokoja into a modern city through transformative road projects,” Chogudo noted, citing the swift reconstruction of the Zone-8 to Crusher Road as a standout accomplishment. The previously dilapidated road, he said, now ensures smoother commutes, enhances security, and provides much-needed relief for civil servants working nearby.

He also applauded Ododo for granting autonomy to the State Assembly, positioning Kogi State as a trailblazer in legislative independence. According to Chogudo, this has fostered a productive and democratic relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms of government.

“Governor Ododo’s democratic leadership style has been instrumental in ensuring unity and progress across the state,” Chogudo remarked, adding that the governor’s vision and commitment are evident in every sector.

The Clerk prayed for continued divine guidance for Governor Ododo to elevate Kogi State to new heights of prosperity and development.
