    Police Bust Notorious Cultist in Uyo, Recover Locally Made Firearm

    In a bold crackdown on criminal activities, operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command apprehended a suspected notorious cultist, Kingsley Effiong Emmanuel, during a decisive raid in Uyo.

    The operation, conducted on January 25, 2025, at Nsukara Offot village along Nwaniba Road, led to the recovery of a locally made pistol reportedly used by the 26-year-old to terrorize the community.
    Police Public Relations Officer Akwa Ibom State Police Command, DSP Timfon John in a statement indicated that, Acting on actionable intelligence, operatives of the Command, on on Friday morning stormed the residence of 26 year old Kingsley Effiong Emmanuel, at Nsukara Offot village, Nwaniba Road, Uyo.
    “A thorough search of the premises led to the recovery of a locally made pistol, which the suspect had been using to terrorize innocent members of the public.
    “Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect has been directly involved in disrupting the peace and order of the community and its environs through his criminal activities.
    Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, commended his officers for their swift action and reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to safety.

    “Akwa Ibom is no haven for criminals,” CP Azare declared, adding that anyone engaged in unlawful activities will face the full weight of the law.

    The Police urged residents to remain vigilant and continue providing credible information to support their fight against crime.
