Embattled Julius Abure Calls for Unity, Forgiveness, Healing after Court victory

In a momentous ruling, the Federal High Court in Abuja has reaffirmed Barrister Julius Abure as the legitimate National Chairman of the Labour Party, solidifying his leadership after a legal battle that had threatened to destabilize the party.
The court, under the guidance of Justice Emeka Nwite, validated the Labour Party’s convention held in Nnewi, Anambra State, and ordered INEC to duly recognize Abure’s leadership.

Abure, in a heartfelt statement following the victory, expressed deep gratitude to God, the judiciary, and the Labour Party faithful for standing firm through a challenging period.
He praised the courage of Justice Nwite and other judges like Justice Omotosho and Justice C. K. Nwankwo for their integrity in resisting external pressures and delivering fair judgments that upheld justice and democracy.

Despite the intense opposition and character assassination he faced, Abure extended a hand of forgiveness to those who sought to undermine his leadership.
He called for reflection, repentance, and restitution, urging the need for party unity and reconciliation to strengthen the Labour Party for the future.

In a notable appeal, Abure called on Peter Obi, the party’s former presidential candidate, to join him in the effort to heal divisions and rebuild the Labour Party from within.
He emphasized the importance of restructuring, reconnecting with the grassroots, and focusing on the collective good of the Nigerian people.

As the Party looks ahead, the victory marks a new chapter, with renewed commitment to serving the common man and fighting for the betterment of Nigeria.
