    Ododo promises to give support to Lokoja GSM Village fire victims

    Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has promised to support the victims of the devastating fire that ravaged the GSM village in Lokoja on Thursday.
    Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah in a statement indicated that the Governor during the visit assessed the damage and offered his condolences to those affected.

    He described the fire as a “disheartening” incident and assured the victims that his administration would provide immediate relief and support to help them recover.
    The Governor acknowledged the significance of the GSM village as a source of livelihood for many youths and women in the state, highlighting its positive impact on the local economy.

    The statement explained that the Governor’s visit has brought hope to the affected traders and residents, who expressed gratitude for his support and solidarity.
    “His pledge to assist in rebuilding and recovering affected property has rekindled their determination to rebuild and revive their businesses.
    Accirding to the Statement, the state government has promised to take swift action to support the victims and ensure they bounce back from this disaster.
