Sule promises to establish facilities mentanance Agency to tackle poor maintenance culture

In a move to address poor maintenance culture, Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has announced plans to establish a Facilities Management Agency to maintain infrastructure developed during his administration, highlighting the need for sustainability.

This announcement was made at an induction ceremony hosted by the Institute of Global Facilities Management, where the governor was represented by Alhaji Abubakar Odah Akum, who received an Honorary Fellow award.

The Institute’s President, Omachi Jonah, emphasized the importance of such an agency, citing examples from Kaduna and Lagos, and noted it would address issues related to poor maintenance culture in the state.

The governor expressed support for the initiative and sought collaboration with the Institute.
The event also recognized various dignitaries and inducted new members from the Federal Polytechnic and other fields.
Awards, including plaques and certificates, were presented to the honorees.
