**Says she’s a gifted child

The Santuraki of Ebira land and former Diaspora Special Assistant to ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Chief Saidu Ogonoh has called for concerted efforts towards ensuring that Nigeria attains her full potentials in all aspects, stressing the need for absolute patriotism, transparency and accountability by all.

The traditional title holder of Ebira land made the call at the 12th birthday celebration of his daughter, Miss Mariam Saidu Ogonoh who also holds the United States of America’s ‘principal Honor Roll’ at grade six.

Speaking at the event that hosted friends, family and well-wishers in Abuja, the American based politician and businessman stressed that Nigeria has found herself in a position that requires all hands on deck to avert an irredeemable embarrassing situation that will take it many years backwards.

Speaking further a visibly elated Ugonoh flanked by his wife Hawa Saidu-Ogonoh, his second daughter Mayeda Saidu Ogonoh and little Alesha Saidu Ogonoh revealed that the celebrant’s wish was to celebrate in Nigeria and enjoy the ambiance of her father land.

He stressed that “Mariam is a gifted child in very many ways. She is efficient in art-work adding that her drawings are excellent.

“As we speak, her school in the United States is already advising that she pursues advanced studies in the art field to allow her maximally apply such talent and take the world by storm”.

In her response, the 12-year Mariam Saidu Ogonoh said she was glad her wish to celebrate her birthday in Nigeria despite the state of insecurity was granted.

Mariam mainatined that her visit to Nigeria has presented her with the opportunity to be able to discuss with certain degree of authority with her friends and school mates about Nigeria when she returns to the United States.

“I am very happy to be in Nigeria I thank my dad and mum for making this birthday happen here and I am really happy to visit so many places. When I return to America, I will be able to discuss with my friends and mention the places I have been to. I think this country is good, the people are receptive and I am happy.”

Also at the event was a member of the House of Representative representing Bali/Gasol federal constituency of Taraba state,
Hon. Yakubu Ja’afaru yakubu, a former Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal .

In his goodwill message, Hon Jafaru urged the celebrant to take her studies seriously and always obey her parents.
