Edun unveils new revenue ideas, financial reforms to boost economic growth
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun has unveiled the Federal Government’s financial reforms and budget performance before the Senate Committee on Appropriation.
Director of Information and Public Relations Mohammed Manga in a statement said the Budget Performance Meeting at the National Assembly, was chaired by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
The statement quoted Edun at the meeting to have shared updates on Government’s initiatives to enhance revenue generation, ongoing financial reforms and budget performance.
He listed the reforms to include Introduction of innovative revenue models, such as a single window source for generating revenue
“Ongoing significant reforms within the financial sector to ensure efficiency and transparency”
He explained that the reforms are targeted to boost economic growth, improve government finances, and ensure a sustainable future for Nigeria.
“The Federal Government is committed to working with the National Assembly to ensure the successful implementation of these reforms.” the Minister said.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Executive and the Legislative Arms of Government in achieving economic prosperity for the country
