Nasarawa state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday concluded hearing as APC failed to present any witness.

The governorship election tribunal, which commenced hearing on May 30th, has concluded its hearing on petition brought by Dr. David Ombugadu and the PDP challenging the declaration of governor Abdullahi Sule by INEC as the winner of the March 18th gubernatorial elections.

The APC, in the last sitting at the tribunal, said it was ready to present its defense witnesses, but he, however, failed to present any witness as the third respondent.

The Counsel to APC Mathew Burkaa, SAN, applied to the Court to have their case closed without calling any witness.

At the sitting, the lead Counsel for the Petitioners J. S. Okutepa SAN pointed out to the Tribunal that APC did not have a competent reply before the court.

It will be recalled too that INEC (1st respondent), which is the principal Defendant, did not also call any witness.

The three man tribunal chaired by justice Ezekiel Oyeyemi Ajayi had after listening to both the petitioners and respondents in a thorough legal battle fixed 14th September, 2023 for adoption of final addresses.
