    INEC declares senator Echocho winner of Kogi East senatorial election

    The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho as the winner of the Kogi East Senatorial election which took place on the 25th February, 2023.

    Echocho who is the incumbent lawmaker in the National Assembly was declared winner after polling 108,784 votes being the highest against his closest rival Victor Adoji of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 81,867

    Declaring results, the INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Musa Adeku Ibrahim said, Echocho scored 108,784 votes being the highest against his closest contender, Victor Adoji of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 81,867.
