    From Abel Abogonye, Lafia

Over 5000 members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Awe Local Government have dumped the party for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Receiving the decampees at a PDP rally Awe Local Government Area, the state PDP chairman, Francis Orogu said the defectors were APC members from the southern senatorial zone of Nasarawa State.

Orogu congratulated the decampees at the PDP zonal rally in Awe for making the bold decision as he assured them that they would be given equal treatment as other former members of the party

He however, called on the decampees to join hands with other party members in the zone for the victory of PDP in the forthcoming general election.

Also speaking during the rally Director General Atiku and David Umbugadu campaign council, Mr. Labaran Maku, called on residents of Awe Local Government Area to vote for Atiku Abubakar and David Umbugadu, adding that it was during PDP rule that Awe Local Government road was constructed and since then no other development has been added to improve the occupation of the people.

The former Minister of Information urged all party loyalists that it was time to vite out the ruling APC with all their lies and deceit in the state.

According to Maku,” This time it is no longer going to be business as usual, we will crush anybody we see on our way,” he added.
