Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has also declared his ambition to contest in the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) billed for May 30th, 31st and 1st June, 2022
He has also purchased the N100 million nomination form.
The Governor made the declaration during an APC stakeholders meeting held at Government House Dutse on Tuesday evening.
Governor Badatu said, “I will join the Presidential race since everyone knows I’m a highly qualified person to do the job”.
The Jigawa Governor said he was pressurized to run for the presidential seat by his colleagues.
The spokesperson to the Governor, Auwalu Sankara, indicated that his principal got President Muhammadu Buhari’s blessings before buying the form.
