The personal assistant to Yobe state Governor Honorable Murtala Yakubu has disclaimed social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or WhatsApp group that are linked to him.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Honorable Yakubu said any of such platforms bearing his name were setup without his permission.
    The statement reads,
“This is to notify the general public that I, Hon Murtala Yakubu do not operate any social media account or ask any person, group of persons, Associations, unions to do so on my behalf either on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or WhatsApp group.
“Any of such platforms that bear my name is totally without my consent and the public should disregard and discredit the contents disseminated.

“Some of these platforms were brought to my attention by family, friends and associates who expressed concerns about my intention and worry over the deviance of the contents from my actual personality.

“While I do not endorse any message from these quarters, I want to use this medium to thank our progressives youths , friends, supporters and well-wishers for their unalloyed support for me and the fact that they have identified me as a worthy son of Kogi State. “Your support for me is an indication to contribute more of my quota to the development of our society.”

However, he urge each and everyone to desist from creating such platforms or peddling messages that he did not give consent to on any social media platforms.
“If at any time I decide to throw myself into the political scene of my beloved Kogi state, it will definitely be a matter of public knowledge and through the right quarters.

“Again, let the public take note, that I do not endorse any of these accounts or platforms on any social media nor the messages disseminated there in.”
