The Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Navy Captain (Dr) Umar Bakori (rtd) has been honoured with the prestigious honorary doctorate degree of the American top-of-the-class Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Professor J. N William the Chapter President of the University at the grand event held at the Nigeria Merit House, Abuja gave the indication recently.
He described Navy Captain Bakori as patriotic Nigerian who has been committing a great deal of efforts to the security architecture of Nigeria with singular aim of building an enduring security that would guarantee the safety of lives and property.
”We do appreciate your sterling and result oriented leadership, not only when you served your dear country, Nigeria, but even currently as the Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria where you are leading patriotic men and women.
He said the group has been complementing the efforts of other security agencies for almost two decades with a view to stemming the tide in the activities of agents of insecurity and confusion in Nigeria, your dear country.”
