APC Affirms Yar’Adua as Katsina Central Candidate Ahead of 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua as the winner of the party’s senatorial primary election for Katsina Central, strengthening his bid for re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued after the exercise, the senator thanked delegates and party supporters across the district for what he described as overwhelming confidence in his leadership, calling the outcome a collective mandate for progress, security, and prosperity.
“Alhamdulillah, with a heart full of gratitude, I sincerely thank the good people of Katsina Central Senatorial District for your overwhelming support and confidence in me,” he stated.
Yar’adua also praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing leadership that he said has strengthened democratic processes within the ruling party. He further commended Dikko Umaru Raɗa for maintaining stability in Katsina State and acknowledged the APC leadership for conducting what he described as a peaceful, transparent, and credible primary election.
According to him, the victory belongs not only to him but also to party loyalists and stakeholders committed to the party’s vision for the district.
The senator pledged to continue serving with integrity and dedication while urging party members to remain united as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.
The Katsina Central APC primary attracted significant political attention as the ruling party consolidates its position in Katsina State, one of its traditional strongholds in Nigeria’s North-West region.
