The Management of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has reaffirmed its operational stability and commitment to staff welfare amid reports of planned disruptions allegedly being orchestrated by unauthorized actors.
In a statement issued by the Service’s management, the FCT-IRS stressed that it maintains a cordial and productive relationship with its official Staff Union, noting that there are currently no internal disputes within the agency.
The Service warned that any attempt by unauthorised individuals or groups to incite unrest or disrupt operations would be resisted within the ambit of the law, emphasizing that the integrity of the Territory’s tax administration system remains non-negotiable.
Management urged workers to remain focused on their responsibilities and ignore misinformation or intimidation, assuring staff that adequate measures have been put in place to guarantee a secure and conducive working environment.
According to the statement, the Service’s core priority remains boosting revenue generation in line with the development agenda of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The FCT-IRS also reiterated its commitment to staff welfare, career development, and constructive engagement through recognized communication channels, describing a motivated workforce as central to achieving sustainable revenue growth and supporting infrastructure development across the FCT.
